West Coast Resorts: Rincon and Isabela – Puerto Rico’s “Puerto del Sol” is an easy 2 hr drive from San Juan One of the best local restaurants in Isabela is “La Costa Restaurant” Playa del Pueblo Isabella – Tel 787-872-2788 – the best tostones I have ever had, fabulous fresh fish, very local bar… fun, fun, fun! The beaches are fantastic, great for surfing – but you better be good at it! LOTS of beautiful bodies Culebra and Vieques: Are Puerto Rico’s ‘Spanish Virgin Islands’ and easy to reach from San Juan by a short flight or from the ferry that leaves from Fajardo (about 1 hour south of San Juan).
